Staffa Island, Off the coast of Scotland

You can only reach Staffa Island but by boat through rough seas. This proved to be true in our journey. We wanted to see the island where Puffins migrate. Staffa is an island of about 70 acres. Best known for its steeply carved cliffs that rise out of the sea, it is also noted for the Famous Fingal’s Cave. The island hosts several colonies of seabirds, Shags, Fulmars, Razorbills and Puffins. Puffins breed on several of the islands with the largest number on Lunga where it has been increasingly in recent years with now more than 1,800 pairs.
