Many thresholds

Willow River State Park
Hudson, Wisconsin

We are home. Other than the oven door falling off while cooking our thanksgiving turkey, everything is perfect. The circuitous route from Holden Village, Washington to Hudson, Wisconsin was an adventure, a learning experience, a time for processing and renewal. We sold our little house in Florida and planted ourselves right outside the Twin Cities in Hudson where we look forward to the changing of seasons. We spent this past summer exploring, seeing family and friends, and camping in several National Parks. Our travels took us from Florida to Colorado to Wyoming to Minnesota and finally Wisconsin. We were on prairies and historic sites for weddings of family. The pandemic has kept us away from our Grandkiddos longer than we ever imagined, but now with everyone vaccinated, we will change that in the new year! We spent time thinking about what we will need to make ourselves whole and resilient for the days ahead. It has been a deep and rich path and we are grateful for its complexities.

It turns out that the same gifts that took us to Holden continue to be good for us to cultivate and explore. Art, imagination, and the ability to live in tension are still equally central for us during this unsettled time on our planet and the “great turning” of our Earth home in peril. As we embark on our next phase in the St. Croix River Valley, we are grateful for all of you who have been our travel companions and have offered the support we have felt this past year. Our studio will be finished by the spring and teaching opportunities are on the horizon for our work to continue.

As we get settled, we will be connecting again. We love to hear from you. We hope that you will stop in to see us, sit by our fire and spend time together under the stars. Amidst the great mystery of the changing universe, we look to the new year for building relationships, being kind, working for the greater good and realizing that hope is ahead. Peace and joy to you in the Spirit of hope and love, Peg + Chuck
